Stockholm Furniture & Light Fair decides to focus on February 2023
Stockholm Furniture & Light Fair has decided to cancel the postponed fair in September. The new dates are February 7–11. “We want to unite the design industry and focus on a strong comeback after two years of absence”, says Hanna Nova Beatrice, Project Area Manager, Stockholm Furniture & Light Fair and Stockholm Design Week.

Talking to Åke – an exhibition curated by Stockholm Design Week – open to the general public until the end of March
The exhibition "Talking to Åke" is currently on at the Sven-Harry Art Museum (Sven-Harrys konstmuseum). The exhibition, curated by Stockholm Design Week's Hanna Nova Beatrice, is a part of design history with the Swedish design icon Åke Axelsson meeting several contemporary Swedish designers.

Visitor registration for Nordbygg is finally open
We can finally start counting down to a new instalment of Nordbygg 2022 this Spring. You can already secure your ticket to the fair, since visitor registration opened up a few days ago. Inspiration, new products, interesting seminars and rewarding meetings are just some of the things that Nordbygg will offer on April 26-29.

Stockholmsmässan chosen as venue for Stockholm+50
In June 2022, Sweden will host Stockholm+50—the global UN environmental meeting. This commemorates the very first UN environmental conference in 1972 in Stockholm, exactly 50 years ago. Stockholm+50 will be held at Stockholmsmässan on June 2–3.

Formex January edition 2022 is canceled
In consultation with industry organisation PUFF (Presentgrossisternas Företagarförening), the decision to cancel Formex was taken yesterday. This is a result of a new wave of Covid, reinforced by the rapid expansion of the Omicron variant in Sweden as well many other countries. The next Formex will be held on August 23-26, 2022.

Stockholm Furniture & Light Fair will be postponed until September 6-9, 2022, while Stockholm Design week is scheduled to run as normal in February 7-13, 2022.

Bang Universe to create contradictory exhibition at Formex “After Before Party navigates between hope and fear for the future”
Formex, the largest interior design fair in the Nordics, is set to reopen its doors on the 18th of January. With next edition’s theme titled Next Mindset, Formex has commissioned design agency Bang Universe who in turn will translate the theme into an exhibition called After Before Party.

Instead, Formex is providing a whole host of digital activities – the studio program Formex Talks on the three themes of Sustainability, Retail and Global Trends will be streamed on August 24–26, plus the trends for this fall will be presented in a digital trend guide.
