Following the Success of Thursday Jazz – World of Volvo Continues with Major Autumn Jazz Concerts
After the successful and much-appreciated Thursday Jazz series, where audiences have gathered for live music and atmospheric evenings, World of Volvo is now taking the next step in its musical venture. This autumn, two exclusive concerts featuring some of Sweden’s leading big band ensembles await visitors.
During October, audiences are invited to enjoy two evenings filled with swing, elegance, and powerful musical storytelling – paying tribute to both Sonya Hedenbratt and Frank Sinatra.
10 October – Let Your Heart Be in it – Jazz, Humour and Warmth in the Spirit of Sonya Hedenbratt
Gothenburg Jazz Orchestra joins forces with Viktoria Tolstoy in a warm and joyful performance inspired by Gothenburg’s great jazz voice and revue queen, Sonya Hedenbratt.
The audience will enjoy beloved classics such as Låt hjärtat va mé and Ål av mig (All of Me) in big band arrangements – delivered with swing, sincerity, and emotion at the highest level. The evening offers music, humour, and warmth, with pure joy of performance at its heart.
20 November – Frankly! – A Tribute to Sinatra
Bohuslän Big Band presents Frankly! – A Tribute to Sinatra, celebrating one of music history’s greatest artists with timeless classics and the full splendour of a big band sound.
Vocals will be performed by Niklas Gabrielsson Lind, whose voice bears a striking resemblance to Sinatra’s. The music will be presented in authentic Sinatra style, featuring original arrangements by Nelson Riddle, Quincy Jones, Billy May, and Neal Hefti.

Tickets and Practical Information
