Estonian Travel and Tourism Association welcomes Haaga-Helia as their newest member

Haaga-Helia UAS/Haaga-Helia Hospitality Competence Center in Estonia became the Associate Member of Estonian Travel and Tourism Association (ETFL) today, as the relevant certificate was handed to Ain Hinsberg at the association’s annual general meeting.

The Estonian Travel and Tourism Association (ETFL) is a voluntary association of tourism industry's employers,where full members (55) are travel agencies and tour operators; and associated members (22) are: transport companies, tourism organizations, educational institutions, hotels, insurance companies, foreign tourism organizations, and other organizations that offer supportive services for the tourism industry.

In addition to other activities and events, Estonian Travel and Tourism Association (ETFL) is also organizing the paramount event of the Estonian tourism industry - the international travel exhibition Tourest, which takes place annually since 1991 and is, therefore, the oldest and the largest travel exhibition in the Baltic states.

Haaga-Helia UAS/Haaga-Helia Hospitality Competence Center in Estonia is also a member of the Estonian Hotel and Restaurant Association since September.

Two international education houses start co-operation to develop Estonian Hospitality business and know-how

​The BOSS From Borders to Shared Space program fund, among other projects run by Haaga-Helia, is supporting the development of Estonian food tourism in the project Culinary Gulf of Finland, which had its second workshop held on October 30th in Tallinn within the the 16th Tallinn FoodFair (TFF). Around 20 food, tourism and food tourism entrepreneurs and other stakeholders convened at the fair.

Haaga-Helia was represented at Estonian Hotel and Restaurant Association General Assembly on 03.03 at Nordic Hotel Forum in Tallinn in a twofold format - Haaga-Helia Senior Lecturer Pasi Tuominen delivered a presentation on the trends impacting the hospitality / Haaga-Helia Hospitality Competence Centre in Estonia was represented by its team among the event participants and an information stand.
