KSLA Webinar on 16 April 2021: U.S. after the Presidential Election – the Relevance for the Green Sectors
Expectations that the United States, with Joe Biden as president, will return to a more traditional role in the international community are high. On February 19, the United States also rejoined the Paris Agreement on Climate Change. At the same time, some point out that, for example, the harsh tone that has characterized the contacts between the USA and China seems to persist. So, what changes can we expect during this presidential term? What roles will the United States play geopolitically and as an economic engine in the world? And, what consequences does this have for agriculture and forestry as well as for work in the environmental field?
To shed light on this, KSLA, through its international committee, has invited American fellows to give their view of the development. Their views will be commented by a panel of Swedish observers who, among other things, will address the development of the United States in light Swedish conditions as well as that of the European Union.
The meeting will be arranged as a webinar on April 16, from 2 until 5 pm (Swedish Time)
