M Picaut Swedish skincare and Maya Water in SLOWFASHIONhouse
SLOWFASHIONhouse welcome Swedish Mette Picaut and Norwegian Maya Guldbrandsen in our shop and in our pressroom:
Mette is such a lovely and very engaged person: former model, trained as a nurse, educated in Traditional Chinese Medicine and used to work with acupuncture.
— Everyone who has met her knows that she serious and burning, her engagement is contagious.
And so it was for me — when Mette contacted bathroom with a recommendation of her skincare series and I met her in Stockholm, I knew immediately that this woman needed to be part of our universe.
One thing is my need to be in contact with Mette, another thing is that Helle, our beauty expert immediately blessed her products: the skincare line M Picaut is based on Mette Picaut's philosophy of "less is more”. Nature offers most of what is needed, she argues — and the ingredients come from clean and pure farming, from farmers who take good care of both their plants and the environment — between 95 and 99 % is of organic origin.
Central in the line is extract of sea buckthorn. Add to this the unusually high level of 3% active peptides (peptides are amino acids, part of your skin’s natural "protein building blocks") plus very mild preservatives, and you have M Picaut Swedish Skincare: a skincare line for the face providing you with the cleanest that Nature has to offer combined with the most efficient that science can supply.
A couple of weeks ago, Helle placed two bottles of water in front of me, or in other words two different face mists from Norwegian Maya Guldbrandsen. Helle told me:
"Norwegian Maya Guldbrandsen, founder of Maya Water, has 25 years of experience as a make-up artist and has worked with a number of prominent people internationally as well as in Norway. In her work a facial mist was always indispensable, as it moisturizes, calms and nurtures skin, and makes makeup stay fresh for longer as well. Now she has created the most natural face mist on the market today. The water comes from the Norwegian Skogshorn source which carries some of the cleanest and most mineral rich spring water in the world, as it filters through silt rich moraine layers over thousands of years, adding minerals which are very good for the skin. The water is pH-neutral and comes in two versions, one completely clean — and one with extract of organic white tea, rich in antioxidants. The nozzle releases an extremely fine mist which makes it easy for skin to absorb the water and profit from its beneficial properties."
The two mists have not left my working table since then, I use them to freshen my face during the working day.
