The 88th edition of the boat show Allt för Sjön has recently concluded. Over the course of two long weekends, spanning a total of eight days, thousands of visitors gathered to celebrate the joy of life on the water. Finally, we could see each other at Nordbygg again! After two years of pandemic and a postponed fair, Nordbygg 2022 was a long wait for the public construction sector. This year’s edition has had many positive reviews and many lyrical faces have been seen in the exhibition halls.
Recoma byggskivor (Recoma building panels) won the Nordbygg Gold Medal, the award for this year’s most innovative product for 2022. The panes are completely made up of recycled composite packaging, where only heat and pressure is used in the production process which contributes to a low carbon footprint.

ECO-Betong from Swerock has been declared the winner of Nordbygg’s Gold Medal for 2020. The award is jointly backed by Nordbygg, industry magazine Byggindustrin and Svensk Byggtjänst. This year, the jury choose to recognize a product with a long history of constant development that could have a crucial impact on the future: climate-enhanced concrete, symbolized by ECO-Betong from Swerock.

This represents a long-term commitment to sustainability for both the fair and Swedish Wood, with a focus on knowledge about using natural materials and recycling to create a more sustainable and circular event.

Stockholmsmässan is the first Swedish exhibition center to convert its entire fleet of vehicles to run on 100% renewable fuel. Using Triboron technology and filling the tank with vegetable oil will cut fuel consumption by 5%. This in turn will make Stockholmsmässan’s CO2 emissions 45 tonnes lower per year, thus meeting one of the exhibition center's sustainability targets for 2020.
