  • Formex 2026 celebrate traditions with Autumn/Winter edition

    Formex August 25-27, 2026 introduces its autumn/winter edition, "Celebrate Traditions," featuring a Winter Wonderland installation. The fair balances nostalgia with contemporary design, promoting sustainability and innovation.

  • Formex 2026 platform for Design Talents unveiled

    The area Design Talents at Formex will showcase emerging designers from August 25-27, 2026, at Stockholmsmässan. A jury of industry experts selects participants, with awards and recognition for innovative talent, promoting professional development in interior design.

  • Seasonal trend insights with Elin Frendberg

    Formex presents seasonal trends in collaboration with Elin Frendberg, bringing fresh perspectives on design, innovation, and fashion. The upcoming edition features “Winter Wonderland,” an immersive experience celebrating traditions through inspiring installations, events, and curated spaces. Formex takes place August 25–27.

  • Life Science Success Returns: BIO-Europe Chooses Stockholm for 2027

    Stockholm has been selected as the host city for BIO-Europe 2027, Europe's most important partnering conference in biotechnology and pharmaceuticals. The confirmed return, following the successful 2024 event, means that Swedens leading life science ecosystem will once again become the global meeting place for research, investment, innovation, and the deals that drive future medical breakthroughs.

  • New Organiser of Public Fairs at Stockholmsmässan

    On 1 October, Stockholmsmässan announced a new strategic direction to strengthen its position as the Nordic region’s leading meeting venue and Stockholm as an international meeting city. As a result, public fairs will no longer be organised in-house, and Numera Mässor will acquire the portfolio as the new organiser.

  • Staffan Ingvarsson new CEO of Stockholmsmässan

    Staffan Ingvarsson, currently the CEO of Stockholm Business Region (SBR), is the new CEO of Stockholmsmässan. Ingvarsson will begin his position as CEO of Stockholmsmässan on February 8th.

  • Stockholmsmässan is switching fuel and reducing its climate footprint

    Stockholmsmässan is the first Swedish exhibition center to convert its entire fleet of vehicles to run on 100% renewable fuel. Using Triboron technology and filling the tank with vegetable oil will cut fuel consumption by 5%. This in turn will make Stockholmsmässan’s CO2 emissions 45 tonnes lower per year, thus meeting one of the exhibition center's sustainability targets for 2020.

  • Christian Clemens named new CEO of Stockholmsmässan

    Christian Clemens has been named the new CEO of Stockholmsmässan. Christian most recently held the position of CEO for the airline BRA, Braathens Regional Airlines. He will take over as head of Stockholmsmässan in January 2020.

  • GastroSummit presents exciting competitions and a unique vegan study

    More vegan food in schools! This is what food blogger Gustav “Jävligt Gott” Johansson is hoping for. That is why he arranged a study together with GastroSummit where more than 4,000 school children will be given the opportunity to try vegan food. Two large national competitions will also be held during GastroSummit: Junior Culinary Championships and Culinary Championships.

  • This year’s Design Talents at Formex

    Design Talents is Formex’s department for showcasing new talent, where independent designers and design groups can both sell their products and display them for buyers, partners, producers and the press/media. This year’s exhibitors include several designers with innovative ceramics, fabric patterns that highlight women's history, and a building set for children.

    The presentation of the Formex Nova Award is as usual one of the highlights during the Formex fall exhibition – it will take place on the first exhibition day August 20. ​Formex has established the Formex Nova Award – Nordic Designer of the Year, to promote high-quality Nordic design created by a still relatively unknown designer working in the Nordic interior design industry.

  • Celebrated trend expert Li Edelkoort creates unique exhibition for Formex

    At Formex, which will be held August 20-23, an object’s inherent energy will be in the spotlight in a unique exhibition created by world-famous trend expert Li Edelkoort. The inspiration behind the exhibition, which will fill Stockholmsmässan’s entire entrance hall, is animism – the belief that even inanimate objects could have a soul.

  • Many exciting changes at Formex

    Formex – the largest and most important platform for Nordic design – will introduce a new product and hall layout in August as well as special theme days to discuss hot industry topics. "We are tightening our grip on Formex to adjust to an industry experiencing rapid change. This will also create new opportunities," says Lotta Ahlvar, Operative Event Manager for Formex.

    On 3-4 September, GastroSummit – a totally new and unique gastronomic forum – will cater to all tastes at Stockholmsmässan. News, innovation and the food of the future are on the menu.   • Smart City – new event at Stockholmsmässan

    In October 2020, Stockholmsmässan will introduce Smart City – Sweden’s leading meeting place for smart cities and urban innovation. Transport solutions of the future, smart properties, digital transformation and a generally better and more sustainable urban environment are some of the topics that will be raised at seminars, workshops, conferences and exhibitions.
