Formex, which will be held August 13-16, will have a trend exhibition in Stockholmsmässan’s Entrance Hall presenting four of next season’s most important trends: Soft Nordic, Wild Wood, Dark Fragrance and Raw Rustic Junction. The designer behind the exhibition is Jan Rundgren.
Last week Stockholm was filled with with activities and a gastronomic party as the industry gathered at Stockholmsmässan for the GastroNord and Vinordic exhibitions as well as the Bocuse d’Or Europe chef championships. The party culminated with a gold medal finish for Sweden and Tommy Myllymäki.
Formex, the interior design and gifts fair, which will be held August 13-16, offers visitors an urban environment in the pop-up restaurant, B18th Street. Among skyscrapers and trees, design meets food and architecture, with New York's skyline as a source of inspiration.
The mood at Stockholmsmässan reached the boiling point when Sweden and Tommy Myllymäki took home the victory in the prestigious Bocuse d'Or culinary competition’s European championship on Thursday evening. Implementation of the competition, in the hands of the French organizer GL Events, was also the best ever.

Sweden’s best value wine was presented today as the winners of the Vinordic Wine Challenge were announced at the Vinordic fair at Stockholmsmässan. A record number of wines entered Sweden’s only EU-certified wine competition, and new for this year was the addition of two categories for organic wines.

Gastronomic Week will be held for the third time in Stockholm between May 5 and 10. In conjunction with the GastroNord and Vinordic food and beverage fairs that are taking place at Stockholmsmässan, the general public is also offered a week of food-related events and activities around town. The Stockholm International Boat Show opens at Stockholmsmässan on March 1. The dock will be packed with exciting sailboat models – large, small and very new. Everything from the Show's largest boat, the 17-meter-long Beneteau Sense 55 luxury yacht, to the six-meter Fabola 650 day sailer. Among the many interesting new items it may well be the "flying" sailboats that attract the most attention.
Over 40 of the approximately 300 motor boats to be shown at Stockholmsmässan from March 1–9 are new. Zuperman, a super-racing boat that attains speeds over 180 knots is one of them and the aluminum boat Viggo X8 is one of several boats to have its world premiere at the show.
