Mathias Dahlgren, the star chef behind acclaimed restaurants such as Matbaren and Rutabaga, is opening the doors on August 11 to a new dining concept – Seafood Gastro – at the Grand Hôtel in Stockholm. Offering a tasting menu that celebrates aquatic delicacies from within, around, and atop the water, the restaurant is a journey of gastronomic discovery for guests as well as Mathias and his team.

Grand Hôtel Stockholm is launching a new cocktail concept where France meets Sweden in a new and well-composed cocktail menu - "States of the Art". Mathias Dahlgren opened Matbaren in 2007 at the Grand Hôtel in Stockholm. At that time, such a groundbreaking restaurant concept had never been seen on the Swedish restaurant scene. Since then, the restaurant has evolved while maintaining the same menu composition – until now.

Today Hanna Oscarsson at the Cadier Bar, Grand Hôtel, was announced the winner in the prestigious Art of Italicus 2020 Glo-Cal Edition. The Glo-Cal edition involved up to 80 bars, 80 bartenders, and was hosted across 10 cities. A visit to one of the royal palaces or the royal parks is a great way to get to know more about Royal Stockholm. In July, HM The King decided that four of the royal castles should reopen to visitors. In addition to these four palaces, the surrounding parks at the other royal destinations are open. The parks are amazing destinations for beautiful walks filled with sculptures and garden art.
